Deaths in The Sims 4: Cottage Living
Although I personally never saw these deaths in the mini series I had on the channel, here is the First Episode of Cottage Living where we play with the Brown Family, parents who move to the village of Henford-on-Bagley to have a much simpler life, but they discover there are more secrets than they expected. Next, here are the cheats to see these deaths for yourself in case you do not have MCC.
Want your sim to die at the paws of a killer rabbit?
The first thing you must do is have testingcheats true enabled; testingcheats on does not work in this case.
Shift-click the sim and look in the menu that appears for the Kill option, and select Die by Evil Killer Rabbit. The same goes for dying at the hands of a killer chicken.
If your sim died of other causes but you want to see what their ghost looks like from the death by one of these animals, enter the cheat:
- traits.equip_trait trait_Ghost_AnimalObjects_KillerChicken
- traits.equip_trait trait_Ghost_AnimalObjects_KillerRabbit
The Sims 4: Cottage Living object cheats
The barn, the chicken coop, and the bird or rabbit logs have their own cheats, but this time you do not need to enter any cheat. For this you only need testingcheats true enabled, and by shift-clicking you can access the cheat menu of these objects, as I show you in the images below.

How to start playing The Sims 4: Cottage Living?
If you are starting to play The Sims 4: Cottage Living, you can start building your farm, but if you want to uncover the secrets of Henford-on-Bagley and meet the locals, the first thing you must do is pay attention to the map.
The map is divided into 3 areas. The first is New Old Henford, according to the The Sims 4 website:
It was originally called Little Henford. However, after a lot of thought, they decided New Henford sounded better. More chic and all that. The thing is that, unfortunately, nobody told the national cartographers and the village ceased to exist for two weeks in a row. Ha! Can you imagine? Well, after that, another name had to be chosen again, and that is when New Old Henford was picked, and that is how it is today.
This part of the village is known for its lush estates, gentle hills and its small (but lovely!) community garden. This neighborhood used to be a giant property owned by the Watson family, who sold off plots of it over the years. They still have a nice estate at the top of Old Mill Hill. If you stop by, you will surely see it!

But if you want more direct contact with the locals, then visit Finchwick. Here you can buy products and treats, or maybe you will be very lucky like me and get a money tree, and you can also sell everything you harvest or produce on your farm.
In addition, the fairs are held in this part of Henford, just remember that you may have a better chance of winning if you bribe the Mayor.

Lastly we have Bramblewood.
Bramblewood embodies the natural beauty of Henford-on-Bagley. This forest has a fairy-tale aura that delights everyone who visits it. It has always been a picturesque place that many birds, rabbits and wild foxes call home, so you may feel among good friends, including Michael, our creature keeper, who is almost always walking through the forest and looking after the animals and plants.
You can also harvest chocoberries, mushrooms of all kinds, and fish.

The locals of Henford-on-Bagley

Each one has their role in the village, but all of them have errands or tasks you can do, not only to get rewards that will help you get treats or upgrade pieces, but also to learn more about the secrets of this village.
For example, did you know that Kim is in love with the Animal Keeper but he wants nothing to do with her? It was very awkward to find this out in my series!
Have you wondered how to get a golden egg in The Sims 4: Cottage Living?

There are two ways to get a golden, obsidian or rainbow egg: through treats, or by cheating a little with cheats. But since you are surely here to play without cheating (wink wink), here is a guide to all the treats and what each one does to your cows, llamas or chickens.

If you want your sim to make more preserves, you can use giant products, which can help produce up to 7 jars of preserves; if, for example, your sim uses small ingredients, you will get 3 jars of preserves, and if they use medium ingredients, they will produce 5 jars of preserves.
Depending on the quality of the preserves, the price may increase.
How to get clothes for the animals in The Sims 4: Cottage Living?

In the new The Sims 4: Cottage Living expansion you can dress the animals; whether you have a cow, llama, hen, rooster, or have a good relationship with a rabbit or a fox, you can put any garment you have in your inventory on them. But how can you get these clothes?
There are 3 ways to get them. The first is having a high Knitting level, so you can knit clothes for your animals. But you can also get clothes by running errands around the village, and if you are lucky, you may get a piece for your animals as payment.
The third way is to go to the Animal Keeper and buy the clothes from him, but you need to have quite a lot of simoleons available, as they tend to be expensive.
