My dear grasshoppers
An update from Syusims to her dear grasshoppers: why she has been away from the channel, the new video, a project four years in the making and a new miniseries.

Hello, my dear grasshoppers. I have been missing, and yes, it has been quite intentional.
I reached a point in my life where I understood that I needed to focus on fewer things. For a long time I have tried to keep everything running at the same time: my life, work, being a mom, the channel… and, sadly, I no longer have the same time or the same energy I had six years ago when I started all this.
And I think I also had to accept that.
I have not stopped being involved with The Sims 4, but I have stepped quite far away from the channel. It has been a constant battle with time, energy and all those everyday things that appear out of nowhere and completely change your plans.
Maybe at some point I will have the time again to record, edit and create the way I used to. But right now I am trying to find a new way to bring you content consistently, without feeling that I have to chase something that no longer fits the same way in my life.
And I also do not want you to feel that I disappeared or that I no longer care.
I know that probably many of you do not even think that, because so many times you have told me you understand my situation, that I have a job, that I am a mom and that, well… life happens. And I thank you so much for that.
But anyway, I also came to tell you something important:
We have a new video on the channel.
It is the finale of Teen a Doctor:
It took me almost a month to finish it. Not because I did not want to, but because between work, getting dengue, V starting preschool and a thousand other things… it has been too many emotions all at once.
In addition, I have been working on another Sims-related project that, if I am completely honest, took me 4 years to show you.
Yes. Four years.
It even started back in the WebtoonSims days —I do not know how many of you remember that platform— and since then I have been working on it one way or another.
The project is ready.
And here comes the weird part: I do not know what I am missing to finally show it to you.
I have been struggling quite a bit with my impostor syndrome and it has been… uphill.
But I want you to see it. I want you to enjoy it. I want the world to finally see it.
I am not waiting for “the perfect moment”, because I know that moment does not exist. I think I am simply giving myself the time to embrace this project the way I want to before sharing it with you.
There are a few things I still want to change and I think I will work on them this week so I can finally present it to you.
And I think that also sums up quite well what this year has been like for me: a roller coaster of emotions and too many things living inside my head at the same time.
That is why I also do not want to come here and tell you: “Next week you will have five videos”.
But I also do not want to tell you that you will have none.
I am going to try.
In fact, I have several videos already recorded. They are several speed builds and basically I just need to sit down to do the voice-over, edit them and share them.
I also feel that another thing that has affected me quite a bit is my current relationship with The Sims in general.
With all the news, controversies and events that have been happening around the game, I have felt quite distant. Controversies cause me a lot of stress. I do not like feeling that I am constantly surrounded by something that has everyone upset, arguing or stressed.
I do not know if I am explaining myself.
And I think that has also made me drift away a bit, both unconsciously and consciously.
It is super weird. But…
I want you to know that I am still here.
I am doing everything I can to find a way to bring you more content, but I want it to be content that I enjoy making and that you enjoy watching too.
And I can tell you this ahead of time: we are going to have a new series, or rather a new miniseries.
We are going to keep exploring the active careers of The Sims 4, because it is something I genuinely enjoy a lot. And for the next one I have several ideas that I think can turn out quite interesting.
I sincerely hope you can enjoy it.
Thank you so much for staying here, for reading me, for being patient with me and for keeping me company even when I disappear a little.
See you and hear from you very soon, my dear grasshoppers.
Bye bye. 💚
